The swivel chair that now lives in our bedroom has been part of my life forever. It belonged to my mother. It has been many different colors through the years but the significance of the chair has never changed. My mama would hold me in that chair. She held me when I was happy or sad, glad or mad. Kip had the chair recovered for me on my 30th birthday. My children know that this chair belonged to Grandma Hammerment. They know that she lives in heaven with Crosson.
The memories and love that this chair represents are invaluable to me. But I think my mama would agree that the little people that now sit here are the best gifts of all.
