Halloween party and hayride

We went to one of Callie Grace's classmates halloween party on Friday night.  The children had a great time playing, roasting marshmallows and loved the hayride!  This was our first hayride experience as a family.

CG's school party

I was able to take my lunch late today so I could participate in Callie Grace's trick-or-treating at school.  All of the children were precious and it was lots of fun.  Callie Grace was so excited!  I am extremely thankful that I can take my lunch at different times to accommodate my children's functions.  I don't want to miss out if I can help it!

Halloween Happening at church

Caleb and Callie Grace really enjoyed last night.  Caleb jumped in a bouncy house the entire time.  Callie Grace played games, had her face painted, ate dinner and jumped a little bit.  I love to see the differences in my children.  CG wants to try it all and Caleb is 100% into one thing!! :)  The below picture cracks me up!

This was at the beginning of his jumping and sliding.  At the end his cheeks were blood red!

so sweet

What a fun night!  We have class parties, a hayride, another Halloween party and trick-or-treating left before we say good-bye to Halloween.  I want to hold close these memories that we are making with our children.  I feel a huge sense of thankfulness for them.  We are so lucky to have them in our lives!

Silly hat day

This is red ribbon week at Callie Grace's school.  Yesterday was jean day and today is silly hat day.  We went to Hobby Lobby so we could pick out a hat and Callie Grace could decorate it as she wanted to!

She was so proud of the finished product!

The South Carolina State Fair

We ventured out to the fair on Saturday morning.  We spent 4 hours riding rides and having fun!  Mimi, Aunt Trudy, Bradyn and Rion went with our family of four.  I think everyone had a ball!

Here is the line up...

Super excited Callie Grace

Black-eyed Caleb

Miss Bradyn who can't wait!

Mr. Rion who is ready to ride!

Caleb cried the entire way out of the fair.  I think he felt like 4 hours just wasn't enough!  This mama sure felt like 4 hours was MORE than enough!  Thank goodness the fair only comes once a year! ;)

Shoe Tying Clinic

Callie Grace and I along with her friend, Jessica and her grandmother went to a show tying clinic last night.  Caleb and Daddy went to a Halloween party at Mama Helen's place.  Caleb had a ball!  I understand that he was the hit of the party with his precious scarecrow outfit.  His mimi made his costume.

Miss Trudy just sent me this pic of Caleb.  I know he looks sad (which he wasn't) but isn't his outfit precious?!

Callie Grace and Jessica learned how to tie their shoes last night.  The instructor encouraged us to practice every night.  We purchased some pink and white laces at the shoe store.  She said to lace up a pair of adult shoes for the children to practice on for a while.  Once they get the hang of it really well, we can put the laces in their shoes!  CG and Jess had a great time!  It was great seeing a new friendship bloom. :)

I can do it, I can do it!

Zoo

Saturday was an absolutely beautiful day to be outside!  We went to the zoo.  The children had lots of fun!

I actually printed this one out and put it in a frame at home.  I haven't done that in ages!

Playground

Callie Grace climbed the rock wall for her first time yesterday!  Caleb has been doing it since he was 2 but CG is a very cautious little girl.  She loved climbing it and did it over and over and over!

This picture cracks me up.  Caleb was sick of taking pictures.  This is his CHEESE MAMA! look.  I asked him to look at the camera.  This is the best he could give me.  I love this kid!
We generally let the children pick a place to go out to eat on Fridays for dinner.  We try to eat at home the other nights of the week.  Kip surprised the children last night by bringing home Little Caesar's pizza and 2 movies from the Red Box!  The children were so excited.  They started screaming and jumping up and down.  Kip was definitely the star parent of the night!

School Days

Caleb had school pictures yesterday and the fire trucks came to his school!  He said they got to watch a puppet show as well!  Caleb took some cookies for all of his friends to enjoy.  He said they tasted yummy.

Fireman Caleb

Callie Grace had lunch with a loved one yesterday.  Callie Grace chose me to eat with her.  I was extremely honored.  When she saw me her entire face turned blood red and she started jumping up and down with excitement.  I know that one day (all too soon) I will be an embarrassment to my children.  I want to relish in these days!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a lot of fun on Friday night at the Methodist church.  They have a little pumpkin patch and bounce houses for the children.  Moira, Callie Grace and Caleb had a ball.  We saw many friends on Friday night which made it even better!

Pajama Day

Callie Grace got to wear her pajamas to school today.  She was so excited this morning.  She practically bounced into school.  It is the greatest thing as a parent to see your child get excited!  And for the excitement to be about something small, makes me even happier.  I think they are reading llama, llama red pajama today also.  Our family loves that book!  It is one of Caleb's favorite books.

Sweet Friends

Callie Grace went to her first classroom friend birthday party.  She had a lot of fun!  I was able to take a few pictures of my girl with some of her friends.  I hear about these girls so much that I feel like I know them! :)
