Back to School Night at Bogarts

We enjoyed a family fun evening at Bogarts last night.  They had a lady that was face painting and making balloons for the children.  Children ate free which was a nice bonus!  I took a few pictures of the Callie Grace and Caleb with their pretty painted faces.

BC Bearcats Go Go!

Callie Grace really enjoyed bearkitten cheerleading camp last week.  We were able to get a few pictures of her in action.

I needed to hear that...

Every morning, I call Kip and the children to tell them good morning since they are normally still asleep when I leave for work.  When I spoke with Caleb this morning, he said, "mom, I have to tell you something important.  I love you very much".  I love you, Caleb - more than you can ever imagine.

Callie Grace's book bag!

We were all excited.  Callie Grace wanted me to take a picture of her right away.  15 more days until she starts school.  She is so ready.  I get all anxious just thinking about it but not her!  We go for her assessment this afternoon.  I think we may find out today or tomorrow which teacher she will have for kindergarten.

With all of this talk about school, Caleb is ready to start too!  He doesn't start until September 7th.  He will go 3 days a week from 9-12pm.  We have his Open House at the end of the month.  I am excited for him.  He is such a little sponge.

This weekend

Caleb spent the night with Moira on Friday night.  He loves being with her and had a great time!  I took a few pictures of CG and Caleb at church on Sunday.

Around our house lately...

We have been learning to recognize coins.  This is HARD!  We are doing quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies.  Caleb is picking up on it also!  Callie Grace never gets frustrated; she just keeps trying and trying.  She woke up early this morning and said she wanted to review the coins.  I hope she keeps up her love for learning forever.

Us

We have been enjoying the summer.  The children have been going to bed later and not wanting to get up in the mornings!  We are trying to change that as Callie Grace starts kindergarten next month.  I am so excited for her but really weepy also.  My baby is starting kindergarten.  MY BABY IS STARTING KINDERGARTEN!  Can you believe it?  We have received the list of supplies that we need to purchase.  We are on the bookbag hunt and I want to get her some new outfits and some shoes!

I pray that her school experience will be a good one.  I just want the kids to love her and her teacher to love her.  I don't want her feelings to get hurt.  Tall order, huh?!  We love Callie Grace so much and think she is the most special 5 year old little girl ever.  This mothering thing seems to be getting harder and harder.  I have to let her go and learn things all on her own.  Dear Lord, please give me the strength that I need to do this.  And please give Callie Grace the strength to do her very best at school.  A whole new world is opening up for my baby girl.  I hope we enjoy every minute of the ride!
